Cash for Keys by one bank, Eviction by another?

Hello. I live in MN. We had a Sherriff Sale on our home in January. We were to have a redemption period of 6 mos, so we had to be out on July 2, 2008. It is my understanding that HSBC purchased our home in the Sherriff sale. Ocwen Loan Servicing is who we had our note through. Well when July 2nd came, Ocwen offered us $2000 cash for keys to be out on the 23rd of July. We accepted. We cleaned, painted, made it look brand spankin new, left the appliances, etc. They gave us the check. Now 2 weeks into our new home, I get a court notice that HSBC filed an eviction on July 23rd, the day we moved out!!! I don't get it. I am going to court to ask that the eviction be removed from the court records, since we are renters now, but doesn't this seem weird?

I believe the eviction is pretty much standard and it shouldn't have any affect on you. Remember, when a foreclosure is handled judcially, there are certain steps and documents that are mandatory.
