    Favre to Jets

    I really thought I was OK with this.
    And then it was announced and ESPN plays all of the greatest highlights.
    It's heartbreaking.

    I'm a Packer fan for life but I REALLY don't understand how they could let this happen.

    Brett Favre playing for another team.
    Add that to the list of things I NEVER thought would happen

    IMO, although my whole family loves the Packers, I personally dont mind if he wanted to play somewhere else, but the JETS! come on thats not very smart. At least at minnesota he would have possibly been in the NFC title game or more. I never understood when a player demands to be traded for whatever reason and then goes to a team where he will be no better off. Like elton brand, he left the clippers for the sixers!

    Well brett, hope you have fun in the AFC.
    Not only am I not a lawyer, the California BAR association has sent me numerous letters telling me not to even THINK about going to law school. In fact, the lay advice I provide is not even good. In the end remember, you get what you pay for, and here in BK land were not the best at paying.

      That's the thing - he did not (originally) have any desire to go to the Jets. But it wasn't up to him.

      He wanted to return to the Pack. They didn't want him back.

      So he wanted to be traded to the Vikings. Pack said NO WAY will we trade you to a division rival (understandable).

      Then the Bucs and Jets stepped up and made offers.

      Favre wanted to go to the Bucs.

      So... of course... The Pack traded him to the Jets. I knew this would happen. When he came out of retirement - inspite of the Packers bribing him to stay retired - they said they would use this to 'their best advantage'... At least they were smart enough to know their best advantage was to get him out of the NFC.

      He just wants to play football. At this point, I think he just really wants to be on a team that wants him.

      Now wouldn't it be interesting if the Jets turned around and traded him to the Vikings?

      I will always be a Packer fan. And Brett will always be a Packer to me.

        Yeah I feel he is always gonna be a packer as well, similarly no one thinks of joe montana as a "chief" or micheal as a "washington wizard"

          Would love to see Favre/Jets dominate Brady and the cheatingfaketriots. Just imagine the Jets in the Superbowl AGAINST the Packers.

                  I think he shouldn't have retired in the first place if he wasn't sure.

                  In this situation Packs lose and Jets win.
