    Let Go and Let God...?

I have faith. I have an abundance of faith, and yet I am doubting. I was listening to the radio yesterday, a local Christian station, and the were talking about letting the situation you are currently in go to God. He will provide. Why am I having such a hard time with this? I've been here before. I know from experience that it's true, he will provide and yet I don't bring this to him.

I know this is a faith-based question, but lets look at it rationally none-the-less.

How excatly do you give God your debts? That is ridiculous. I think the whole idea of 'giving god your problems' is a big cop-out. I think the false hope it gives can evetually be devestating. Sure, you may feel good for a little while, but this is the real world and it will bite you in the butt.

What ever happened to "God helps those that help themselves"? If you aren't pushing, and then decide to sit on the couch while god handles it... that's just plain lazy, imo.

Back to the Bible. Yes God does help them who help themselves.

      Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

This being said, God did not build the Ark for Noah. "I told Noah to WORK and build an ark so many cubits, etc."

We all, have two types of worries or problems. One is can you do anything about it? Then DO IT! time will fix it.

If you know you have the ability to change a situation and do not do so, then God is not going to fix it for you , as he has already given you
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

God did not get people into this mess. I believe God will forgive and guide you but will not simply bail you out. Especially not when it comes to money.

It actually makes me mad when I hear religious leaders state do nothing and God will basically waive a magic wand. As stated above, God will help and guide those who try to help themselves.

One great example of how God helps people get through this is with forums like these. Where we the people can assist and support one another.

you've done all you can, right? And realize you have found the only possible solution, right? Just try to relax some. It is ok to think and worry a bit about your finances, but DONT obsess on them. Ask God to guide your brain and heart in what to do, and trust that he will. When you start worrying, tell yourself to stop, that God is still in control no matter what you do or worry yourself about. They tell me it takes 31 days to make something a habit, so pray and concentrate for the next month, and see if it doesn't , help.

I think we need to leave this thread at that positive note before it devolves into something less hopeful.
