    Filing Ch7 with government cc

Ok I thought I'd post this seperately as I've not seen this topic come up yet.

I just started a new job recently as a state governement employee in PA. I was issued a governement credit card to use for official travel expenses. I have not used this card but may have to in about a years time when I am scheduled to do some official travel.

If I were to file bk would this have any effect on this card?

One thing I worry about is the issuer finding out about it and revoking the card and thereby notifying my employer of my situation. I really can't afford to lose this job as it's the only opportunity I've encountered in the last 3 years to better my financial situation.

Generally, you cannot be fired for filing Bankruptcy. Generally, from the creditors perspective, goverment credit cards are secured by the government, so your individual credit worthiness is a secondary consideration. Also, since you have a zero balance on the card, you don't even have to list the card on your bankruptcy.
