Thanks again for the suggestions on Social Security card alternatives for the 341 meeting.
Just to be on the safe side, we 3-way called the TRUSTEE (not her attorney) and verified with the assistant that what she had was good enough.
She actually thanked us for calling and asking... "Most people would just show up, which causes a lot of eye-rolling on our part."
I ended up going to the 341 meeting with my client (yes, an extreme amount of handholding- never done this before... special circumstances), to make sure she would be okay.
We made sure to "overprepare" for anything the trustee might "grill" her on.
As it turned out... piece of cake.
The trustee was quite a lot of fun, actually.
If you're truly concerned about nailing your 341, my biggest suggestion to you is this:
GO BEFORE YOUR 341 DATE.
If you would invest just a half hour a few weeks in advance of your meeting, you will learn LOTS of valuable information.
You get to see the trustee in action, and you'll find that they don't vary their routine much.
If you watch for an hour, you'll probably see someone up there who has similar circumstances, and you'll get a good idea of how you should respond.
I would guess that most people would not take this extra step, but then again, most people settle for mediocre results when it comes to finances.
Best of luck to all.
