Question on Schedule I

Help! I need some clarity on Sch. I...here goes...my hubby only has retirement from being a policeman. no other job. On Sch I line 1 it asks for your wages...then line 12 is retirement. Is his income only listed on line 12 for retirement? Otherwise line 1 and line 12 are added together so it would be double. Please help!

Next part...line 12 asks for retirement. He has health ins and taxes that come out...totaling $454...so on that line do we put the net amount after the deductions? See my confusion???

You only put his income once, under retirement. You put your deductions under taxes. (other deductions go under "other" etc if they are not listed)Whatever his gross amount paid is what you would put. It will work out to what he nets after you take out his deductions.

Thanks Kimba251...I was hoping that was the case but wasn't exactly sure to go about it...another panic attack relieved!!
