My 341 this morning, but who typically objects to discharge?

Well I had my 341 this morning for my converted chp 7. It went pretty well I thought. It only took all but 5 min. He asked why we converted, which was due to my husband and I seperation. He asked if the majority of our debt was non consumer debt, which it was (investment property), he asked if we had any money owed to us that we can pay back some of the debts, we said nothing more than what's stated on the schedules. He than asked if there were any creditors, none showed up. Then he dismissed us and told us good luck.

So, what happens now? I know I wait for discharge, but who would typically object to the discharge? Creditors or the trustee? My atty said we now just sit back and wait till Nov 3. That seems forever away.

Sounds like it went well if the Trustee had some objections or suspicions he'd had you there probably more than 5 minutes.

Creditors can only object if they can prove it to either be fraud or a non dischargeable debt. Most likely you are good to go.

Welcome to the 60 day club.
