Sheriff Sale and BK is done - now what

Ok, I had a rental house included in my CH7 BK which was discharged May 2008. I received a letter saying that a Sheriff sale has taken place and the rental was purchased.

Do I need to do anything? Am I 100% removed from the house because of the BK? Do I need to tell them they don't need to go through the 6 month redemption.

I mean, I hope they are not doing the 6 month redemption for me because it was included and discharged in the BK.

    Thoughts?

If I recall, some states will "cancel" the redemption period if the home is abandoned. You may need to check for your state. Other than that, there isn't much you need to do. It's going to take a month or so for the Sheriff to complete the deed work and return the deed tot he buyer, so nothing is going to happen for a while.
