OK, so we finally saved the money to get this all done and filed yesterday. Just got our case number. WOO HOO!!!!! This morning I went and pulled my credit score from myfico.com to see how things had changed, and with one late payment showing, it dropped from 710 to 590. My question is...will the actual filing and the showing of the BK reduce the credit score or is it at the bottom? Should I expect it to drop more? I also found a few things that need to be corrected and will be working on those. Thanks guys.

Hubbys scores have bounced around a bit as different things reported as IIB and the balance showed $0. Some showed as charged off before changing to IIB and that screwed with his scores.
I wouldn't worry about correcting anything related to the BK until after you are discharged. Things seemed to change all the time on his accounts until they read IID and $0. Now if they are not related to the BK, go ahead and correct those.
Good luck.

I have credit monitoring and it took a couple of days for the Bankruptcy to be reported and the three bureaus took different amounts of time. In the weeks that have followed I see accounts get reported and re-reported and it's all very strange to watch. as it actually happens.Discharged November 2008 100 days after filing no-asset Chapter 7. We intended to let a two-year-old vehicle go back to the bank and reaffirm an inexpensive ten-year-old SUV and our home mortgage. In the end we surrendered ALL of our vehicles and reaffirmed NOTHING. We'll "ride through" our mortgage after the court ruled it an undue hardship.
