    341 Question

My 341 is in 1 week. I haven't heard from my lawyer or the trustee asking for additional info or anything. If I don't hear from either of them before my 341, do I just bring my photo ID and SS card? Do I NEED to bring all the documents I originally gave to my atty? On one hand I don't want to bring extra stuff with me if I don't have to, but on the other hand, I don't want to have to come back because I didn't have a certain document. Wouldn't my atty have all my documents with him anyway?

    Thanks.

I didn't have to bring anything to my 341 meeting as my attorney had supplied all required information before the meeting. From what I have read, if your trustee needs additional details they will contact you before your meeting.

Make sure you bring photo ID and your SS Card.

You do want to confirm with your atty, but all we had to bring was id and ss card. Your atty will probably have all your other docs.

Are you an asset or no asset?

My atty did send me a letter along with a copy of my petition stating he'll discuss with me prior to the meeting how to prepare for it. I'm a no asset case. I hope my atty has all the other info in case it's requested.

My husband and I seem to be the only oddballs, in that in addition to our DLs and SS cards, we had to bring a copy of our Marriage License, as we use different surnames.

The trustee looked at it, said that was fine; he didn't need a copy. Only we found out 6 months after our 341, that the hold-up for our Discharge Order, was that there wasn't a copy of the Marriage License in the paperwork!!! GGGRRRRR!!!

          Good luck at your 341!

Seems as you have a quintessential Lawyer. Tell you nothing, expect you to know everything. Seems to me that there is a definite pattern here. ‘Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

I had my meeting this morning. We weren't asked to bring anything. They didn't even ask for our IDs or Social Security cards....we brought those anyway though.

That just goes to show that every district and trustee is totally different.

My attorney told me to bring my ID, SS card, copy of my POA, and bank statement. The only thing they asked for when I had it was the ID and SS card.
