My husband is in a contest on Youtube for a new computer and we are in DESPERATE need of one but we can't afford the extra expense. Turns out he is a finalist in the contest, but we need people to vote for his video! So all you people with youtube accounts if you could rate his video with 5 stars and comment his video, we'd really appreciate it! Well, cirnrab, I wish I could say "good luck", and have it really mean anything. I tried to win a minivan like this several years ago. I had all my friends and family stuffing the ballot boxes, etc. It didn't help then, and most likely won't help now. I do not have a youtube account, or I would go and vote for you.

If your husband is in true need of a new computer, there are many computer gurus out there--my DH (AngelinaCatHub) and CompTweaker--to name two, that can build good, usuable computers out of spare parts--although in our case, the parts are getting scarce.

But you might want to PM the two of them and see what they might say.
