8500' about 8 miles SE of Fort Garland, Colorado. Back yard view, I am on Honda Road.
Our Cabin will go up in about three years God willing. No joke, it's mine now.

Just hope Pfizer never wants to build a Pharmaceutical Plant there.

Life is a little different. I just paid my boys first semester of College today, all cash. I am almost debt free and have followed most of Todds advice. His statement about cash on hand burned a hole in my brain. There is life after BK. Thanks Todd.

After several hundred hours of search and search online I can tell you that there are alot of distress and liquidation sales out there, you can bounce back with time. I am VERY good at finding these things now, I do alot of research and know most of my Assessor URL's by memmory. I never want to go through that time again EVER.

Robivi - NICE VIEW!!!!
I'm almost jealous.... but I like my view too here in KY...will send you one
Did you change your mind about TN or KY?? :( Or is the cabin going to be a fun spot?
If its a weekend gete-away......I'M UP FOR ADOPTION!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE ANY GIRLS, DO YA!!!! LOL LOL
Yes there is life after BK..... :clapping: course mine's not
quite finished" yet - house/land issue - but hopefully soon that will be resolved soon also. I have been discharged since October of last year.. Case is just not closed yet because of home/land issue...
I am in the process of building my credit score back up - it didn't suffer much in BK - but want it back up where it was before... 40 years of "excellent credit" sure helped my score a lot...right around 700 still after BK.
Glad to hear out the land purchase for your cabin....things like that HELPS MAKE A GOOD DAY - "GREAT"! :yes2:
Keep me posted - let me know what your doing out there -send a pic of your cabin when its done!
Know any ways I can "lite a fire" under my Trustee?????

Best Regards,

Minny (14 months and still counting)

PS, I agree about the "cash in hand", yes its a great feeling to stash some away now. NO HOUSEPAYMENT for 14 months now has really "helped me" create a new nest egg.. (did a lot of penny pinching to add too it too). But the feeling is GREAT.... Before BK the medical bills, cc payments absolutely sucked me dry, backup money reserve and all. Was living from paycheck to paycheck for about 4 years... and I'm one of those people that ALWAYS thought ahead..for emergencies... always had a "nest egg"...
Maybe someday soon life will return to normal at my house and "life" will be good again......
