Business Failed right as Divorced began, 3 years later I'm in a deeep black hole...

As my title stated, I have recently ended a 3 year long divorce.

We started out owning a real estate business that did ok until the market began correcting.

Now, after the divorce I am left with a small parcel of land held personally and about 100K in business & personal debt.

Have not made payments to any debtors in many moons.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find a reasonably priced attorney in my area to help me to get this started?

Hi. Welcome to the forum. Someone suggested in a post to call the clerk of the bk court in your district and ask for two or three names. The poster suggested that the names would be attorneys that the clerk liked doing business with--meaning that they were capable and didn't cause problems.

But there have been many suggestions floated throughout this board. Just be sure to see two or three forr their free consultation before you settle on one. Also read here and get familiar with the bk process.
