We are thinking about changing our minds about reaffirming our cars. We are thinking about giving one back. We pay $400 for each.

Do you think if we decide to do this we could be put into a Chapter 13?

We had initially decided to reaffirm everything, but reality fortunately sank in before it was too late and we decided we should only re-up 2 out of 5 secured loans. We too worried that it would push us into Ch 13 territory, especially since we were over the median income, so we checked with our lawyer. He looked at our means test and informed us that we were so much in the negative that we could drop all 3 and it would not have any effect on our Ch 7 discharge. He was right...we dropped them and had an uneventful 60 days. So do check with your lawyer and make sure it has no effect on your BK.
