    Paul Newman

I hate to say it but this is more important news to me than any of the Presidential crap. Over many years I have loved this man's movies along with his very liberal co-worker Robert Redford. These fellows made some of the best movies of their day. Obviously by "Cars" he was losing the fight but what a giant personality this man had from the late fifties on. Brilliant actor and well loved.

And may I say from the same general early part of that Newman/Redford era (and i am straight as an arrow) I have Funny Face & Hello Dolly on DVD (gift card from Best Buy), Streisand being another giant, political differences be damned. Just great films, The Sting, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy, Electric Horseman (Redford), etc...

I, too loved Paul Newman, as an actor. He was just great and his movies were too! He was also a great philanthropist and for that, I admire him. Can't say I agree with his politics tho.

I liked his movie, can't think of the title, in which he was a warehouse owner and Sally Field was a reporter for a Miami newspaper.

Mag, I forgot the name but that was one of my favorite dates also. He got them all in the end for the death of a friend.

He was good and he will be missed. I love his movies and his pop corn too. His whole business was dedicated to helping the poor the right way. He never made money on the "Newman's own" brand. Just did it to create jobs and give to charity.

Absence of Malice. Though I think he had much greater movies...Cool Hand Luke, The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

              I'm gonna cry.

                Me too...

I work nights/sleep days so I just found out about our great loss of a truly nice, talented, generous, and may I add, TOTALLY HOT guy. He did not need to keep his name in the news by getting arrested, by having dozens of livin-ins; he was dedicated to his wife, his ideals, his work, and made all of them come together to make him what he was: the wonderful Paul Newman.
I too shed a tear when I heard the news; it is the passing of an era. There are not many, if any, that can match his career or generosity. TORN CURTAIN, with Julie Andrews was on TV when I went for work, and I wished I could have stayed to watch all of it. He was a pleasure to watch in everything he did. I don't buy his food products because I just don't eat those things, but, are there any other "movie stars" out there who do the same thing? None, I bet.
Anyway, Newman, we Love you, and miss you already!!

An "era" of the good movies, and really good guys with high morals, full of generosity, and devoted to family and friends. A truly "caring individual" who believed in "sharing and giving back" all that society gave him thru the years.

A wonderful actor with the "blue eyes" that will never be forgotten!!

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Mrs. and I have warn out two tapes of the 'Sting'. Now we are watching it on DVD. The Sting has become one of our "cult" movies, as his acting was so great and we loved the Scott Joplin music.

I admired Paul and can remember when I was younger (teenager) how much of a crush I had on him and Robert Redford. My heart goes out to Joanne Woodward. Such a loving couple and so perfect together.
