    The Great Houndini

The owner of this dog was going nuts trying to figure out how his dog was getting out of the pen. He would find the dog out of the pen, but the pen still locked! And now, I present The Great Houndini! He has also been compared to Steve McQueen in The Great Escape, and to McGyver.

I had a dog that liked to climb out of her fence once upon a time. Unfortunately she pulled the stunt one weekend when we were gone and broke her back leg going over the top. We came home and took her to the vet, but the bone never grew back together so she had to have an amputation. Then a few years later she was hit by a vehicle and another leg was paralyzed. We ended up having to have her put to sleep, and I have never had another animal that I loved until we got our cat 12 years ago.

What's so funny... is the other dogs.. they are like "wow, how does he do that?"... "wait for us". Too funny.

That dog demonstrates guts, determination and thinking "outside the box".

Also note that he kept looking "up", and never once looked back and focused on his circumstances.

A lesson for all of us!
