    What happens between filing and 341 and confirmation?

    Now that we filed (9/26) what happens? PACER shows a hearing for 10/21, no idea what that is. Our 341 is 11/05 and the proof of claims deadline is 2/3/09. So what now? We've started making payments. Do we just go about business as usual until the 341? And if our payment increases how is that determined? Does the trustee look at certain elements of the budget? Or is it based on creditors' objections?

    My husband is looking at ways to shave our expenses now. I'm thinking we keep everything status quo until after confirmation. But, we have a $1500 property tax bill coming due in January we need to save for. Our budget allows for $275/month, but obviously, that's not going to make the $1500. Is it okay to save for the tax bill now and instead of having cash on hand, get money orders payable to the Treasurer (don't want to make payments now as the 2007 tax bill is being included in the BK - figured it would be more confusing).

    Also, did anyone have to provide receipts at any time? If you were asked for them did you have an opportunity to get them?

    Sorry, think I have more questions now than before we filed. I could ask my atty, but wanted real life examples.
