    Listing assets question

    Hi all,

I'm trying to get a list of assets together and ran into a few problems...

    1) How do I value the asset? Check eBay? Craigslist? Worst day at a garage sale?

    2) I've got a bunch of hand tools, should I list each separately or as a group (i.e. - ratchets $x, sockets $y, screwdrivers....)?

    3) How much of my stuff should I list? I don't mean that in the sense of, 'how can I hide some stuff', but in the sense of, 'I have a lot of junk that isn't worth a plug nickel,' such as a box of old bike parts (screws, broken bits, etc).

    4) I'm in NY state, is there a wildcard exemption? Some of these tools I need to work on my car and the house (renting). Hopefully they don't appraise the car over $2400, it's unlikely, anyway.

    Any help appreciated,
    Thanks!
