    omg what did i do

    Hello,
I am panicking. I had to rush my pet in to the vet yesterday. well first I plan on filing for bankruptcy in november.
I had a 0 balance on my care credit card. I put 91 dollars on it and plan on paying it off when i get paid.
Did I just screw up my bankrutpcy? I did not think this would hurt me especially in an emergency.
    I am so scared.
Again, the charge was 91 dollars and there is nothing else on the card.

    Help please.

No you didn't screw up your bankruptcy. This isn't a luxury purchase nor is it a large enough amount to make a difference.

Don't be scared and also Don't use anymore credit!!! Hopefully the dog or cat is ok.

thank you soooo much!! What is the best way to handle this. Should I stick with my plans and send the 91 bucks and pay it off and then file, or what? Im so confused!!

I dont want to look like fraud

I would like to try to keep this card for health emergencys. Its a care credit card. Can i pay it off and keep it thur bankruptcy?

Pay it off and they may take it away anyway after you file.

Because you look are a newbie why don't you hold off with filing unless you must and do some research on this forum for a couple of months, read books, listen to financial counclers like Dave Ramsey, and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row.

It breaks my heart now more then ever to see CEO's of failed banks get paid what they do and some newbies here struggling while getting forced into chapter 13's because they rushed in.

Make sure you are taking all of your allowed exemptions, reasonable deductions, etc. and shop for a good attorney even if it costs a bit more.

        Good luck

Nothing to be scared about. The charge was small and an emergency. Doubtful anyone would even notice, and even if they did, they won't mention it.

I agree with you that you should pay it off though before filing if you can just so you don't have to include that as a debt on your petition.

Glad your kitty is okay. Love da kitties.
