Apparently in New York State bothhusband and spouse must be on the title to claim the exemption twice. Since I won't be filing for a little while, can I simply just have her named added to the title at DMV?
It really is BS. In NYS everything is owned 50/50 in a marriage. But noooo, both names have to be on title. How stupid is that?
