Has anyone had any issues with GMAC mortgage company? We have our 1st and 2nd with them. They have not sent us papers to reaffirm, even though we stated when filing that we wanted to. I went to pay our 1st mortgage online for the month of October like I always do, and saw that they reversed our September payment and would not accept our October payment online.
Meanwhile, I get a packet in the mail from an attorney representing GMAC stating that they were going to start foreclosure proceedings and asked for a relief from the automatic stay. When I called them, they said that they sent the September payment to this attorney and that I needed to contact him.
We have never been late on a payment and fully intend to stay in or house. Our attorney objected to the automatic stay motion and had us bring our October payment to her office so she could send it certified mail to GMAC's attorney. She also questioned where the September payment is???
This is SO frustrating. Why would they do this? I would think that they would want people to stay in their homes and continue making payments instead of having another empty house that they have to deal with!
