Trustee Objections

I love/hate Pacer. Saw today that the trustee objects to our pland because 1) not all tax returns were filed and 2) an affidavit was not signed stating we were current on domestic support oblications (i.e., child support).

Argh... these were given to our atty! Just a blimp in the whole scheme of things. I'm hopeful these will be resolved. If I wasn't addicted to Pacer I might not even know about the objections until after they were resolved. Oh well.

Once these are resolved, anyone know the likelihood of other objections being rasied?

Sorry to hear that, but every Trustee is different and without knowing your case is hard to say what type of objection might arise.

The good thing is that those are no biggies. You had your 341 on Wednesday, right? I wouldn't worry too much about it, except for the health insurance thing and that is as simple as filing a small ammendment. Don't worry so much... and do what I do, check Pacer only every other week. Save yourself some money.

My own Chapter 13 confirmation was delayed for a month because of Trustee objections similar to filingin08's. Some paperwork irregularities involving mandatory submissions of one sort or another - I don't remember exactly - but I do know that all of the necessary documents were on hand for the filing, but some were missing at the 341 meeting. I could be wrong - but I have a sneaking suspicion that BK attorneys sometimes "forget" to bring certain documents to the 341 meeting in order to force the Trustee's hand and buy some time for whatever reason. Most trustee objections are at least hinted at during the 341 meeting.
