FEDMOD questionbrokeNconfused 11-07-2008, 08:21 PM has anyone looked at this site? fedod.com? was thinking of using them to attempt a modification with my current lender. still looking at ways to REFI before my arm kicks in. liverichly 11-14-2008, 12:05 AM Website didn't come up. Stilltheone 11-14-2008, 05:13 AM Website (fedmod.com) came up for me, but I haven't used it. We plan on contacting our lender to do a Help for Homeowners refi. We have 2 lenders, Aurora (a division of Lehman Brothers..EEK) and Countrywide. Our arm (with Countrywide) already kicked in. We had a 2 month teaser rate, which we were unaware of at the time we did our mortgage. On Countrywide's website, it looks like they'll have some help in place starting on Dec. 1, so that's what we're waiting for. Countrywide is even willing to reduce principal balances, which would be a big help for us. We currently owe $260K and a home 2 houses down is selling for $207K. Do I think they'll reduce it down to $207K? I doubt it, but it's worth a shot. There's no way I'd be able to sell my house for $260K, so anything lower is a plus for us. brokeNconfused 11-21-2008, 06:27 PM well i am sure my old credit union wont help me at all since i put a car and credit card from them in my 13 plan. Just looking for some modification help or a lender willing to Refi with little/no down and low equity. | |
