    Discharge Question

on Monday is the 10th, the day my paperwork said would be the end of my 2 month wait. I have not heard from my lawyer in over a month. Is this a good thing? would he of called me if a cc wanted their money? 5/3 is who i have my car through and they have yet to call and ask for the car... do they have to warn us since we gave it up in the bk?

plus, do they look at anything after its been discharged? my husband was just told today that he will be getting a raise in a week or so, and with the holidays coming up, i'll be needed more at my job... will this affect me?

thanks for any help you can give.

You will be fine. If you haven't heard anything than your case should close on schedule.
Getting a raise and increasing hours after the case discharges is not an issue. When you filed, your income was based on 6 months prior to filing, not 6 months after.

We are about two weeks away from the end of the sixty day mark. All has been quiet. I sent my lawyer a quick email, and asked him if all of the quiet was a good thing. His answer... "...'tis a good thing!"

Seems you should have had plenty of warning by now if something was going wrong.
Filed 8/08 - Discharged 11/08! Not tracking FICO.
      Pre-Bankruptcy Net Worth: -$72,000... Today's net worth: $142,000.
If your FICO score just went higher than your net worth, and you are happy about this, you might have a financial problem!
