I was wondering if the trustee comes and goes through your house and looks at all of your belongings. In OH our lawyer said we have like 10k for household goods and stuff like that. I know none of our stuff is worth that. Not even close! We were just wondering how they do that. My mother in law is getting us a treadmill for Christmas and I didn't know if we should wait or what, but she don't know we are doing this and we don't want her to know. Thanks

No, they usually never do that. Only in states that have a really low household goods exemption or if they suspect you are hiding something.

You will be fine getting a treadmill for Christmas. The value of your "stuff" is based on garage sale prices.
