    Please note moderators:
I did not feel that this was necessarily a news item as specified in the news section because it seems to be from a blog. However, I did not feel that it was necessarily a post for the "American dream is dead" thread. So I don't know. I just found it interesting and put it here in the general talk since it's not specifically bankruptcy related...I don't even know if all the store closings are true or if it is a rumor...

Lots of stores cutting back, going under, or filing BK...................

So Sad, because it affects all the working class of folks right here at the holidays, and affects their lives on a daily basis. Some will be unemployed now facing winter price hikes and increases and no income.......

Everybody will be scrambling trying to find a job again......

Our economy right now is "destroying" everybody.......the stock market, businesses, and the folks at home..... IT'S HURTING US ALL!!!! Many folks that are in "over their heads", will not be able to dig themselves out........

When the businesses start closing....................cutting back...........something is going very wrong in our society....... and the trickle down effect catches us all...... even those with a "emergency fund" in place......"....

I really hate to see what the future has in store for us all....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I recall us talking about this last year about how there were so many shops closing with empty car lots & empty strip malls. there were people still talking stupid like there was nothing wrong at that time.

now that the big chains are going down people will realize we have been in a recession for a very long time. it is pretty sad people cant admit when something is failing until it is too late.
you have to find & admit the problem before you can fix it.

Someone sent that to me in an e-mail. It's disappointing to hear so many stores are either shutting down some stores or closing down all together.
