    commercial real estate lending

anyone know how this market is doing? DH just got a new job, inside sales for a direct lender, nationwide. They do construction loans, purchases, and refi's. Just haven't heard much from the commercial side since the residential's taken over the front pages.....just curious really. the job is full commission but if figure worst case if he's not earning anything, he can still continue to collect unemployment

Not great unfortunately. Borrowers trying to refinance their commercial loans are really running into problems. Defaults on commercial loans are coming. Even The Donald is having a hard time.

We aren't able to do any commercial realestate for anything that's less than 51% owner occupied.

Rates for LOC's are through the roof and fees have been hiked.

Yeah, commercial loans are not fairing much better. However, for commercial loans, it depends on the local market.

Well they are a nationwide direct lender, so there's GOTTA be somewhere that's got a decent market! LOL
