    Pacer question

My husband and I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in Florida and had our 341 meeting on August 22. I have been checking Pacer and it still says awaiting first meeting. Does it usually take a while for things to show up on Pacer? Thanks!

Just have a little patience. You have to remember that alot of people are filing for bankruptcy right now. I am sure that the courts are probably also being trained on the "new" laws etc. It took about three weeks before they updated that we had our 341 meeting but it only took about 10 days to show case closed. Try and refrain your self and only check about every other day or no more than once a day. You will still know any issues long before your attorney notifies you, if they even do. We checked Pacer and there was a blurb that one of our creditors had filed, it basically meant that they wanted to be notified of anything about us thru the mail, I guess that company doesn't routinely check Pacer. Thank goodness when I read this I was able to get in touch with my attorney to find out what it meant. (trust me I checked Pacer quite often and had to put my own limits on it because it was disappointing when there was no changes) Don't put yourself thru the unnecessary stress. Set a date or a time to check Pacer and stick with it.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....
