Ok so here is my story...
Left in plenty of time and got there 45 mins early. Grabbed a coffee next door. I felt so so ill, I was a bag of nerves. went into the room at 8.30 am for my 8.45 apt. The trustee sat alone in the room. He said hello. One other guy showed up a few minutes later. It got to 8.45 and no lawyer! he arrived at 8.50 and said he got caught in traffic, he was the other guys lawyer too.
He sat and joked with the trustee for around 5 mins and starting discussing some other cases that had taken bad turns, ie assets found etc. The trustee then look up and said " ok these people have heard enough lets get started in a nice jokey way. he seemed very nice though he looked stern when we got there.....
he then did the swearing in, showed the ID cards, SSN card and asked us.
1. Did you see the petiion?
2. Did you sign them?
3 everything true and correct?
do you line at my home address?
4. do we have a business?
5. have we sold or transferred anything?
6. have we paid one creditor over 1000k in last 90 days unsecured?
7, he asked who is this person?? it was my daughter we co signed a loan for he asked if she was an adult I said yes.
8. he then told us about if we inherit within 180 days to let them know.
It was all very very fast 5 mins tops..... and he then said into the recorder, I conclude this a no asset case, and good luck to you.
that was it... all done!!
so Can i join the 60 day club now??
I am soooooo glad that it over with..... I just have to hope for no objections or anything from the US trustee and pray for QUIET 60 days
he did not say anything about when to excpect Discharge.. that was already written on the paper we got sent .. a date to expect it.
