Why is my student loan lender showing that the loan is in default? Have not missed a payment.. When I emailed them about this, they said it was because we filed bankruptcy. The bankruptcy has been discharged and it is still showing default status? What can they report? How do you go about fixing it? I haven't pulled credit report yet because it has only been a week since the discharge. I guess that I am a little anxious. Any help would be muchly appreciated.
