There was a judgement entered against me 3 years ago.My wages were being garnished until I stopped working for my previous employer.I have been at a different job for the past year now and was wondering does the company that has a judgement against me would they have to go back to court and get a new judgement so they will be able to garnish my wages at my new employer or can they just start garnishing my new wages automatically

They don't have to get a new judgment, but they will probably have to go back and get a new garnishment order (but doing so is really not that challenging or expensive for the creditor).Originally posted by nicole38 View PostThere was a judgement entered against me 3 years ago.My wages were being garnished until I stopped working for my previous employer.I have been at a different job for the past year now and was wondering does the company that has a judgement against me would they have to go back to court and get a new judgement so they will be able to garnish my wages at my new employer or can they just start garnishing my new wages automatically
