    auto debiting bills

someone told me that after you file bk, that no one can debit your checking to pay monthly bills while its ongoing... i have a cc with state farm and car insurance... cant state farm still take my monthly insurance premium from my checking?

The only thing they will not be allowed to do is to deduct any payments towards your credit card, as you filed bankruptcy on that credit card.
Since you didn't file on your insurance policy with them they will go ahead and deduct your premium payments though.

I had heard the same thing. I have two accounts with WellsFargo. One for my car the second for my home. They removed access to my account for the car. However, I can still access my mortgage. I had my account set up to automatically take out my house payments on the 15th of each month. They took it out today for the first time since I filed BK7. I am not behind or late on any of my payments.

I am in an active CH 13, and have auto-debits taken from my account (for insurance and mortgage.) All other auto-debits for bills have stopped.

Plan Modified July 8, 2009 from $1100/month to $400/month due to change in income, finally discharged in July of 2013!
