2008 Tax Question?

I have a Question.

I Filed Chapter 7 on Nov8th 2008 im hoping if everything goes Smooth i might get a discharge middle of Febuary 2009.

Ok when i go to get my 2008 Tax's say in January should i tell them i filed for chapter 7 in 2008?

Or do i tell them the next year when i do my 2009 tax's becasue that will be the year i was discharged hopefully.

I guess What im asking do you tell them the year you file or the year you come out of chapter 7.

Who are you telling, and why? The IRS already knows you are bk. You don't have any real deductions for bk. Please inform me of your reason to tell anyone? 'Hub

AngelinaCatHub... I was thinking you had to report the BK to the IRS. But you cleard that up i forgot they have all ready been notified.

Ok But in the IRS's eyes which is the year of your BK. The year you File or the Year you are Discharged.
