I would give Pacer 2 -3 weeks from the date of file. No sooner than when you get your notice from the courts ref. your 341 meeting.
Iti is a little disappointing when you keep checking and there are no changes. 8 cents isn't much, but set a limit on it as to how often you check it (kinda like keeping to a budget)
    Good luck.:
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

I appreciate the info. Since I sent my petition by mail, I will be checking this week as I need to know the case # so I can forward that on to the attorney who is garnishing my husband's wages, and I've read that I should send notice to secured creditors before they get it from the court. I figure it will be more effective to have a case # on there.

Once I have the case #, I know there won't be anything new for me to see there for a while. (I think I will also appreciate KNOWING they got it, not that there is any reason to expect it to be lost in the mail, LOL.)

Have you called the bankruptcy clerk? They should be able to give you that number. (I had not subscribed to pacer when I first filed, so I don't know how long it takes for that process, but I think that once they assign it a number it should be in the system). I work in the state court system and that is the way that works, once a case number is issued it can be viewed it is just the updating of the system that takes so long. I would also assume that once it is entered the computer would generate the form letters to you and the creditors. Hope this helps.

Staci, I noticed that in your sig that it says "Mailed out petition for ch. 7 and 1st payment of filing fee 9/10 after using form7.com for paperwork. " So are you doing payments on the filing fee? If so, more than likely (may depend on what state you live in and their rules) your case won't be filed until the filing fee is paid in full. I know here in Texas that's the case. I guess they want to know they have all money in hand before they submit the case to the trustee.
        Filed: 10/11/05 DONE
        341 Meeting: 11/21/05 DONE
Last day for Objections: 1/20/06 DONE
        Discharged: 1/26/06
        CLOSED!! 3/16/06 :yahoo: :D

I did ask about that-its filed w/ first payment but dismissed if a payment is missed. Must pay at least $67 w/ petition or soon after (I think 10 days) and at least 50% of remaining balance 30 days later, and final balance another 30days later.

I sent in $100, will send $55 end of Sept. and $54 by end of Oct.
