    prefferential payment

    We are filing on Feb 1st. Our computer crashed in December and we bought a new one on the best buy card for 570.00. We are paying it off with our paycheck on January 9th. We will be directly paying it right through the checking account for the full 570.00. It probaby wont even post on our credit reports since it will be paid off before 30 days.

    Will this be a problem, in your opinion?

    You will probably be okay. $600.00 seems to be the amount that can serve as the 'trigger'. You are paying it off and not carrying a balance--is that correct? If you don't already have a balance on the BestBuy card, you are most likely okay.
