Buying car before filing

I know I am probably getting annoying. Our filing keeps getting pushed back. Most are because of the lawyer, but last week I had emergency surgery. I am afraid my car is going to get re-poed before we file-we are not keeping it. Anyways, lawyer said it was ok to get a car after we file, but will have to look for a place to work with us. I called her today since we found the car we want to see if we could try to get it before we file next Tuesday. If we do this will it mess up her paperwork? Or should we wait and see what happens after we file. Just afraid we are not going to have a car and I tow a trailer for my business. Thanks

Yes, if you buy another car the paperwork will have to be changed before you file. It seems to be taking a long time for vehicles to be repossessed, and BK can delay the process even longer.
