    What creeps!

So I get a notice in the mail yesterday from NCO Financial saying that I owe Consumers Energy (gas bill for home) $137 and it is now in collections.

Funny, I am up to date, my payment was actually due today (going on my lunch hour to pay it at the actual Consumers Energy building which is real close to my work) and the amount isnt even close to $137.. ?

Is this a ploy from NCO to get me to call them regarding my other accounts?

    I filed 12-22-08
    Retained bk7 laywer 8-12-08, Filed 12-22, 341 Meeting Scheduled 1-29-09
    Discharged 4-17-09!!!
Reason for filing: Medical, NOT irresponsibility with credit.

I doubt it's a ploy, just call them and tell them you've filed. They shouldn't be trying to contact you once the Stay is put into maotion.

Converted to Chapter 7 Jan 2012
    Discharged April 2012

I called my lawyer on my lunch hour. Of course, Consumers Energy wasnt included in my bk because Im not late or behind on it and had a $0 balance when I filed.

I called Consumers and they have no record of my account ever being late or being sent to collections. I am currently up to date and made a payment on my lunch hour, again bringing my balance to $0.

      Explain that!

For the record, I am NOT calling NCO financial over this, screw them. They are the most arrogant, rude, idiotic people that Ive ever talked to!!

It makes you wonder what new kind of strategy NCO must be up to.

Well I wasnt going to call them so they could trace my number back. So I sent a letter of dispute and asked for proof that I owe Consumers Energy anything and how they came up with that amount.
