    Revise Statement of Intention

Can you revise your statement of intention? If so, how long do you have to do it? I originally filed one with the intent to surrender a car. Now I am thinking I'd like to try and redeem it. I filed on 11/20 but my 341 hearing is not until 1/13. Can I revise my statement of intention and submit a motion to redeem?

Yes. I filed a revised statement of intention a loooonnggg time after my 341 even and it was accepted. My initial 341 was on Nov 3 and I did not sign my revised statement until 12/31/2008. It showed up on PACER 1/2/2009.
I was then discharged on 1/5/2009. I believe you have 60 days from the 341 to file the revised statement of intention.
    Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

yes 60 days from the day of the 341, however my atty advised me that it takes about two weeks to get it all done, maybe they are just that busy?!

HA and it's going to cost 75 bucks, kick me harder I say!

My question has always been, how long after that do you have before you need to turn it in? I have heard 3-4 months total from the 341....
      Filed: 11/25/08 - chp 7 no asset
      Discharged: 2/24/09 CLOSED 3/7/09!

Huh?? You paid $75?? My attorney did not charge me anything to file a revised statement of intent. But then again, I paid $2k in attorney fees (plus filing fees etc) up front - so maybe that is an issue that varies by attorney.

YES, and the B@stard didn't tell me at my meeting prior to the 341 about the fee, he just said sign here, and of course we had 30 seconds to read the paperwork as we had to go into the waiting room.... I paid 2500 for my chp 7, nice eh?
