While that system won't allow adding/subtracting, you can always use your calculator/adding machine to accomplish those tasks. momof3b1g 01-14-2009, 04:37 PM Use "WORD" as alternative. I would prefer for it to add/subtract for me. JustOverBroke 01-14-2009, 08:44 PM So I just create something in word? I would prefer for it to add/subtract for me. Do you have "Microsoft Works"? Most pc's come with this free program it has a spreadsheet and budget templates you can customize to you're taste. Look for it in you're program files or use your search on the hard drive to find it for you. I have not used it yet but did look at some of the templates it looks like something that you may just be looking for. Hope this helps. Never_Again 01-15-2009, 12:59 AM You could also use Open Office, which is a free open sourced office suite including a spreadsheet, word processor, presentation, and even a database program if you like. Also, you can use Google Documents. This has the advantage of making your spreadsheet available from wherever you can access the internet. Riley 01-15-2009, 03:32 AM If all you want is a budget then take a look at my thread http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=33190 It has 3 FREE!!! online sites that will create a budget for you. These will graph and track all your spending and you can link them to your bank and credit card accounts so that it does it automatically. Some will also let you set goals so that you can plan to buy a big ticket item or vacation. They look great except for me I want to be able to see future daily running balance based off of what I know my monthly reoccuring bills are. Currently I am doing that part by a very simple excel sheets that already has all of my reoccuring bills and reoccurring deposits. I then just manually add any debit card transations. This allows me to at any time see how much money I will have tomorrow or next week or next month based off of my bills I know I already have to pay. vegas911 01-15-2009, 07:36 AM I'll second the Open Office option - it's free and works just great!! http://www.openoffice.org/ <-- for download momof3b1g 01-15-2009, 05:35 PM No MW's. I will check out the others posted. Thanks much! momof3b1g 01-15-2009, 05:54 PM I'll second the Open Office option - it's free and works just great!! http://www.openoffice.org/ <-- for download It won't let me download I get an error. Maybe i'm better off with paper and pencil. I don't want anything online. I don't want personal info/accounts on it. anime-chicka 01-15-2009, 09:48 PM What kind of error are you getting? If your computer isn't properly updated with the latest version of Java, it might give you problems. ltrain823 01-16-2009, 09:44 AM i use www.budgettracker.com...it is a great free tool and you dont have to put any personal information in there and no account numbers. I've been using it since December 08' and have been very happy with it. I hope this helps...good luck, it really makes a difference! anime-chicka 01-16-2009, 11:50 AM i use www.budgettracker.com...it is a great free tool and you dont have to put any personal information in there and no account numbers. I had it for a website i had but always had trouble with my computer so i took it off. momof3b1g 01-16-2009, 04:38 PM google documents has spreadsheets free to use I tried that but couldn't get what i wanted. Don't remember have to try again. Don't i need something to open them? OOH I got a spreadsheet to pull up. LOL Off to try it out! anime-chicka 01-17-2009, 09:11 AM That could be it. That might be your problem right there. I love Open Office and swear by it, since I can change how I save my documents between Microsoft's programs and Open Office. When you get a chance, reinstall Java. Besides, how can you play all the fun games on Pogo without it! :) soleprop 01-17-2009, 04:53 PM You could also use Open Office.
