    Partnership and personal bankruptcy help

I'm currently in a partnership and I'm wanting to file Chapter 7 on my personal debt. I do have an appointment for Tuesday with a BK Attorney. I can't afford my truck payments, or personal loans with financial institutes like (American General and Citi-Financial). Though business is slow, I'm curious if these type of companies can come after my portion of the business. I don't own a house, or have any assets.

    Thank you, KSW

Its not the creditors you need to worry about, it is the BK trustee.

If this is just a run of the mill partnership, it is basically a sole prop; meaning simply there is no personal/Company distinction (unless you registered as a Limited Partnerhsip with your Secretary of State).

Go see the attorney. But you may need to make some tough decisions about this business if it has assets or any sort of meaningful liquidation value.
