why do they need this?

We are filing bk and in my paperwork it says they want divorce decrees from the last 10 years. I got married really young 5 years ago and was married for 5 months. I really really do not want my ex to know we are filing or where we live or anything like that/

Why are they asking for this? And they want to know any names I have went by. If none of my debt is in that name do I have to disclose it?
