    Need some help?

I filed for Chp 7 back in September of 2007, I had my 341 hearing on the 14th of this month. I logged in to pacer today and found this message...

"Order Discharging Ch. 7 Debtor and Closing Estate"

Does this mean i'm discharged? I thought it took 60 days, I don't want to egt excited if it isn't true.

Your figures don't add up. You filed in 2007 almost 16 months ago, just got your 341 this month on the 14th? Explain. I think either you or I have missed something here. I hate waking up those hamsters on a false alarm. They get real crabby. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

I'm confused.. You filed in September but didn't have your 341 hearing until January?

Sorry I meant Sept 2008, just last year. I had my 341 hearing Jan. 14th 2009. I checked Pacer today and got that message but I haven't even reached 60 days? Nothing is showing on my credit saying my BK is discharged either so i'm a little confused.

It still doesn't make sense that your 341 hearing took 4 months from the time you filed... Are you sure that was a 341 hearing and not something else?

It was a 341 hearing. I guess this means discharged after typing it in google seems this is the discharge message. It says discharged one line and above closed. Just surprised it happened so fast.

Was your 341 continued from an earlier date? Perhaps the original 341 is the date they are using?

Seems that your 341 should have been about 30 days from filing.

No it was rescheduled so maybe they went off my original date but this was my first actual 341 in court. Guess I just got lucky with the discharge happening in less than 30 days, thanks for the replies.

The date goes from the first scheduled 341 ... whether held or not. However, they will wait for the Trustee to file his final report ... which can happen pretty quick if he believes that there's nothing to get. From there, it could've closed that quickly since it was more than 60 days from the first scheduled 341.
