Post 341 Expense Question

After you have had your 341 meeting, will the trustee be watching for any large payments from your checking account? I will be moving my daughter this weekend & will be writing the check for her 1st mo+deposits so it will be over $1000, will that cause a red flag. The money actually comes out of HER social security monies, so even though it's from my checking accout it's her money.

Is her SS deposited in your Checking acct?

If not, why not pay about 6.00 for a Cashiers Check at a local bank to avoid any issues altogether?

Some banks will even give you one free Cashiers Check, if you bank with them.

Yes, it's deposited into my account. I plan to close my current account after this last deposit & setup a new account for her once she moves but it was too late this month to change the direct deposit.

Did the Trustee question you about her income or did you declare it as household income with her as beneficiary?

No, Trustee did not mention it at all. My attorney had told me they couldn't touch her SSI, but he also did not say it had to be in a seperate account either & I did tell him it was direct deposited into my account (but I must admit I do not have a lot of faith in him after reading some responses to my inquiries on this board).

If it is post 341 then you shouldn't have any issues.
