hello and I am in a hole sinking, i am 120 days late I already received Notice of Intent to pre-foreclose 1st and 2nd mtgs I have cc bills all over 120 days...no job... my question is can I file BK after or during foreclosure ? I think i need around 4 months to come up with money for BK lawyer. I am in NJ.

You first need to go to nolopress.com and purchase their Chapter 7 BK book. It is written in plain English and will help you understand the process and what you can and cannot do. You may decide that you can file yourself. That is called 'pro se', and there are many members of this community that have done it and been successful.
The nolopress book cost around $18.00 and you can purchase a downloadable version. Nolo always offers a 'freebie'; take that too as it is a layman's guide to simple do-it-yourself legal matters like preparing a simple will.
In the event you do end up hiring an attorney, the more that you can educate yourself by reading that book and reading the posts here, the better prepared you will be when the time comes to chose between several different attorneys that you will have interviewed, as it were.
