A couple of questions on Chapter 7 filing

1: How hard is it to fill in all the paper work? How long did it take everyone?

2: In Ca. it says household furnishing, clothes, blabablbba...$450.00 each item. So does that mean that I dont have to include anything in my home that is under 450 per item? And use my exemptions only for things that are over 450 each?

Looking forward to finally get this going. Feb is coming quickly... Thanks all

i don't know as far as filing out the paperwork... but the $450 just means that if you have something worth $1000 we'll say- you're over your exemption on that item; and if you want to keep it you'll need to pay the trustee. You'll still list the other items in your house. And remember- that most are using the "garage sale" values anyway. Some attorneys say to just lump things like "kitchen ware" stuff together. Have you gotten the Nolo Book on Chapter 7 BK? It's a great resource! Even if you end up using an attorney, i would recommend it.
    Good luck with everything!
