Need Help taxes please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am filing pro se Feb 11, 2009. I have not filed taxes the last 6 year and went to see my certified tax prepareer and she said that due to either I had no earned income 2004, and 2007, or very low earned income for 2003- $2700, 2005- less than a $1000, 2006- Less than a $1000, 2008-$1145, she said I did not have to file taxes .

She wants to know if there is a document that I can get certified that I do not have to file, or should I just have them done.

I am a single mom, unemployed and receive child support. Child support is the only income right now. I believe I am no asset, because I have no property, no car, no jewelry, but I do have basic home furnishings and clothing fo rmyself and my daughter.

I am not aware of a specific document from the IRS that says this. If anything, you could enter your numbers on a 1040, and attach a letter citing the section of the IRS regulations that list the income guidelines for filing a tax return. Have her sign the letter, and, as an extra measure, get it notarized.

I would think that should work for the trustee. You should sign the return, or a similar notarized letter stating that the numbers are accurate. The trustee will ask you under oath if your documents are correct, so you probably don't even need your signature notarized. I would get the signature of the preparer notarized.

If you are filing pro-se, make sure that you do NOT include your children's names or social security numbers on the form. Also, redact your own number.
