Negotiate Lease Monthly Payment in middle of lease due to economy

Has anyone heard of being able to negotiate your monthly lease payment (or % in the lease) in the middle of your lease? Someone told me that this may be possible due to the economy. We have 1 year left. Our payment is higher than most as we were able to get our car right out of BK. Also, any dealings with Mazda America Credit in particular? Are they being pretty accomodating right now with the poor economy?

i wouldn't count on it... Especially if you've already had a BK-there's really not much reason for them to work with you. You're in a contract- and the car companies need the money. They only seem to be working with those buying a new car from them. Not negotiating on current contracts.
