Chap 7 & loss of house

yes, the trustee may liquidate it since you don't live in it....
You need to contact 2 attorneys (free consultation) and see what they tell you.....
The people that are living in the house - signed a "P&S".... but have not purchased the home, right???
Sounds like they signed the papers, and just took over payments.... but they don't own it, you still do.....
You need to get the property issue straightened out......
I'm sure the Trustee will just look at them as "rentors"....and the property as your asset......a disposable one....
Talk to a attorney and you might need to let these people know if you claim BK the trustee just might - take a home they think is theirs............

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
