    Where to begin

I have tried reading through all of the posts but can't seem to get the whole idea. I am contemplating on filing for bankruptcy. I have never been late on a payment but have used each card to be able to make the monthly payments. My husband has been through several jobs over the past year and all of my monthly payments have increased making it even harder to try to stay afloat. I just can't do it anymore, I am running out of credit on my cc's so now I will not be able to buy groceries for pay for gas unless I don't pay the bills. I have approximately $25,000.00 in cc debt, a loan for $11,000 with a payment of $700.00 a month... my house is old falling apart... the ceiling is now leaking in 3 different places and I can't get rid of it if I were to give it away... it's probably worth about $85,000.00 but I owe $126,000 on it... 1st mtg payment is 975 and 2nd is 75.00...

So.... if I decide to file do I just stop paying all the bills at once? I read on here that there needs to be 90 days since last transaction and BT's I used a convience check about 3 weeks ago made out to myself for $1,000.00 so I could pay my car payment, my $300.00 gas bill, and have gas and food money... my husband was laid off and just started a new job this week...

If I want to just get rid of it all including my house what should I do? I don't even know where to begin... Do I stop paying on my house and move into an apt or rent a house? Should I wait?

    Thanks for the advice!!

I'd stop paying all debt you wish to discharge-that includes the mortgage.
You don't have to file bk today or, even in 90 days. Use the money you were paying on these debts to support yourself. Develop a budget that does not rely on credit.
Give your husband a chance to see what sort of job security this new job offers. Just don't panic and file bk prematurely.

For the moment stop paying the CC. Stop paying any non secured debt. Do that for a few months and see how things are. In that time take the time to study bankruptcy and see what it can do for you.
