I'm just P!$$&D at Chrysler financial. Ok, so they have been calling me on and off for several months now. I have paid them on and off, and twice I have been told that once I bring my account current with payments I'd qualify to refi the interest rate on the loan. So, today I call and NO ONE know what the hell Im talking about. They refer me back to my bank! Hello, if I could refi through my bank I would've called them first!!!! I'm just so mad Im ready to go to a buy here pay here and finance a much cheaper vehicle and pay the higher rate than drive this 2007 Durango at almost $600 a month. We really cannot afford it!!!! The main problem is that my husband doesn't want to give it back. It must be a status thing. I like the vehicle and all, but realistically, it's the only thing we are keeping in our ch13. If we didn't have the vehicle, we'd be paying a measley $100 a month for 3 years......what do I do????

then jackets??? !! Ok, no one is going to know what that means unless they've seen the Suze impression on SNL...but had to throw that in...
Anyhoo, really, work on your husband in any way you can. I am just sick about all the $$ I've wasted on new cars over the past few years, and nothing to show for it..other than oh yea, the memory of that new car smell, haha. I HATE Chrysler Financial--for other reasons, how they messed w/us over trying to return our car when we went out of our way to be nice about it. They were the biggest jerks when they called. If you have any chance of getting rid of that car and going cheaper--GO FOR IT!! Can you imagine how much money you can save? Here's another old SNL skit quote : "I drive a DODGE STRATUS!" status-schmatus

I'm so glad that your husband agreed to return the Durango. Right now is not the time to worry about "status". Get your financial life in order, and status will come again when the time is right. Good luck Sassie!Chapter 7 filed 10/21/2008
341 - 11/26 went smooth
NO ASSET
Took 115 days after 341 - But Finally DISCHARGED 3/25/09

when did u buy the truck? if you own it for more than 913 days, you can cram down the loan amount and/or reduce the payments in ch 13.12/31/08: Filed for ch 13. (FICO: 605 as of 1/5/09, 648 as of July 2010). 02/11/09: 341 mtg. Plan confirmed for $200 per month for 36 months... (20 down 16 left)

Yeah, we don't qualify. We bought it last March. But, from what I gather on another thread, it could be 3-6 months before they actually come and take it. Although I will be prepared after 60 days. Im just so fed up with these people! It's just NOT worth it to me! Also, doesn't look like we will even pay ANY creditors with our income being under the median at the time we file. The collector I last spoke with advised me I'd be responsible EVEN if they repo it...I told her If they do I will just file BK.Originally posted by screwedupbyRE View Postwhen did u buy the truck? if you own it for more than 913 days, you can cram down the loan amount and/or reduce the payments in ch 13.

It seems that the creditors who get more of the bailout money turn out to be the nastiest bunch of people.Golden Jubilee was a year-long celebration held every 50 years in which all bondmen were freed, mortgaged lands were restored to the original owners, and land was left fallow: Lev. 25:8-17

HI Sassie.............well, we were actually surrendering 2 financed cars to two diff dealerships. Dealer A (Toyota) was very accomodating and downright kind...Dealer B (Chrysler) were the biggest a-holes. First of all, they wouldn't even allow us to return the vehicle until we had officially filed and had a case #. We had already bought new, cheaper cars that we were going to keep so we didn't need or want these other vehicles sitting around. Despite having advised them numerous times we were filing, and trying to refer them to our lawyer's office, they would have none of that, and kept calling-calling-calling at home and on our cell phones (even mine and I wasn't on the loan). When my husband again tried to explain things to them they were just the rudest of the rude--you know the type, we had to hang up on them. We were so grateful when we finally got a case # and could get rid of that stupid car. They still turned it over to some CA..who knows why. It was discharged as planned. It just seems like they made it much harder than it needed to be, and cost them more $$ than necessary.
